Since March of 2020 the Philippines has shut its borders to foreigners due to pandemic restrictions, and Father Silouan has been unable to return. Thankfully, the work of the mission continues, and national leaders and newly-ordained clergy are ably serving the communities of the Philippine Diocese. Your mission gifts continue to be sent to mission leaders to empower benevolence, emergency relief, building projects, and pastoral care. Mission partners are welcome to continue supporting the work of the Orthodox Church in the Philippines here, using our PayPal site — or if you prefer to donate more directly, you may choose to send your gifts via Family Missions International, the nonprofit corporation of the Department of Charity and Social Ministries, Diocese of the Philippines and Vietnam. When you donate via the Paypal Giving Fund, no fees are deducted and 100% is received in the Philippines.
To all who continue to partner with the mission in the Philippines, and to all who have prayed and supported this work since 2013, the whole Orthodox Church in the Philippines thanks you and prays that God will reward you abundantly! If you had not made it possible for one Orthodox priest to go live in Mindanao almost a decade ago, there would not be a growing Diocese of the Philippines today. May God bless you!
