Raising the Dome at Makalangot

The Church of Saint Seraphim of Sarov, in Makalangot, Cotabato, has been a long time building. An onion-dome was built and prepared, but its installation was delayed due to difficulties in raising and placing it.

Today, only days before the celebration of Pascha, Mindanao clergy gathered for the blessing and installation of the dome. Hieromonk Kornily (Molev), secretary of the Diocese, Priest Moses Cahilig, dean of North Cotabato Deanery, and Priest Nicholas Salgado, rector of Saint Seraphim’s, together with Deacon Juventinus and the faithful, blessed the gold dome and saw it placed at last at the peak of the Church of Saint Seraphim.
