In the major cities of the Philippines, government entities have begun making daily rations of food available to the poorest families who cannot work to earn a living during the current quarantine conditions. But in the rural towns, there is so far no relief. Barangays (precinct offices) are still compiling lists of the most needy to whom some kind of food distribution can be set up.
