Road work at Kapehan

The path from Santa Maria up to our village of Kapehan and St John’s Church is unpaved. It is too narrow for cars or trucks; but during rainy months like this February, the rocky, muddy path becomes nearly impassible for motorcycles or foot traffic. On rainy days, many people at Kapehan cannot go to school or to market, or come to services at St John’s.

So this Sunday afternoon, during a break from the rainy weather, members of St John’s and neighbors teamed up to remove rocks and fill in the deepest channels that made the path dangerous to ride or walk. We are thankful for this opportunity to help our neighbors in a practical way!
