Bishop announced for Philippine diocese

The Eparchy of Khanty-Mansiysk in Western Siberia.

His Eminence Metropolitan Pavel of Khanty-Mansiysk and Surgut has been designated administrator of the Russian Orthodox diocese of the Philippines and Vietnam of the Patriarchal Exarchate of Southeast Asia.

For the present, he remains Metropolitan of Khanty-Mansiysk and Surgut, and additionally serves as administrator of the Diocese of the Philippines and Vietnam.

Update: On August 30, the Holy Synod met at Danilov Monastery and formally appointed Metropolitan Pavel Bishop of Manila and Hanoi.
