We are delighted to report that we have now partnered with the Fund For Assistance to the Russian Orthodox Church Outside Russia to enable partners and benefactors to make tax-deductible gifts to the Philippine Mission.
The Fund for Assistance was confirmed by decree of the Synod of Bishops of the Russian Orthodox Church Outside of Russia in 1959. In 2009 it celebrated 50 years of service to the Church. Click for more…
In 2014, Fr Silouan Thompson arrived in the Philippines to serve as rector of the Church of St John Maximovitch and to do missionary work. Since that time he has taught and served in mission congregations in many provinces, and has been privileged to baptize hundreds of zealous newly-Orthodox Filipinos. The Philippine Mission depends entirely on the voluntary support of mission partners. Click for more…
Online donations have until now been graciously processed by an Orthodox parish in the US, but now will come under the umbrella of the Fund For Assistance. Other than the unavoidable online transaction fees, the Fund for Assistance passes on all of your gift to the designated recipient; no administrative overheard fees are charged.
Many of our brother clergy can testify firsthand about how they have been helped through the Fund For Assistance. The Fund has coordinated missionary giving to support Orthodox missions in many countries such as Chile and Haiti, as well as “at home” in places like Nevada and Florida.
Over the next month, we will be contacting our benefactors to arrange to move recurring gifts over to this new PayPal account. Or, as always, your financial gift may be sent by mail; a check designated for the Philippine Mission can be sent to: The Fund for Assistance to the Russian Orthodox Church Outside of Russia, P.O. Box 272, Glen Cove, NY 11542.
To make your tax-deductible one-time or monthly gift, just click the big yellow Donate button on any page on the Philippine Mission site – or visit the Fund For Assistance website and choose Orthodox Mission in Philippines.
May God reward you!
