It’s doubly good news from Palo! Nina and Father Sava were able to deliver the relief supplies to the Orthodox community in Palo. But not only were they able to distribute needed supplies – thanks to Father Sava, the original ten members of the St Nicolai of Žiča Orthodox community are now joined by twenty-two new catechumens. Without a chapel, with their homes in ruins, the St Nicholas community are drawing their neighbors to the fullness of the Faith.
From Moscow, Father Philip writes:
I am humbly asking for your prayers for the 22 new catechumens of the Russian Orthodox Church from Palo, Leyte. Please pray that as they rebuild their lives, they will also become more firm in their faith in our Lord Jesus Christ and His One True Church on earth. My sincerest gratitude for Fr. Sava (Crispo Holanda Salinas) of the Antiochian Orthodox Church-Philippine Mission for blessing these 22 catechumens during his visit to the mission area of St. Nikolai of Zica. I would also like to thank Fr. Konstantin Lautillo, one of the Deans of Antiochian mission for his prayers and continuous collaboration for the mission of the Orthodox church. Please pray also for all those who continuously pray and support the mission of the Russian Orthodox Church. Thank you!
Father Sava adds:
Thank you also Fr Philip and Sister Nina for giving me this very rare unsolicited task which I am unworthy to do in my humble capacity. Yet with the Lord’s guidance and inspiration it made everything possible. Let us all help pray for everyone, especially the new catechumens.
